Kayla Borgen has always believed that the most memorable places tell a story before a single word is spoken. A creative director, entrepreneur, and lifelong lover of hospitality, she has spent her career building brands that feel as thoughtful as they are beautiful. Her work has spanned collaborations with actress Sophia Bush, internationally acclaimed artist McArthur Binion, Green Day, and Detroit Blows, while also serving on the board of Detroit Sessions, a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating the arts. Before the age of 35, she had founded and sold two businesses, launched a boutique wine brand, and spent years helping businesses discover not just how they look, but who they are.
Noira is the culmination of those experiences—a space where branding, design, wine, art, and hospitality become one. Every detail, from the candlelight to the typography, the rotating gallery walls to the wine list, reflects Kayla’s belief that beauty should never feel exclusive. With more than fifteen years in branding and creative direction and a deep love for the wine industry, she approaches hospitality as an act of storytelling, creating spaces that invite people to slow down, gather well, and find joy in the everyday. For Kayla, Noira isn’t simply a wine bar; it’s an invitation to romanticize life.

Lindsey carey brings an exceptional background in floral design and elevated hospitality. Lindsey’s experience in high-touch service environments and design-focused presentation will inform the wine bar’s front-of-house ambiance, event styling, and guest engagement — bringing polish and warmth to every detail. Lindsey also serves as the lead cook at noira, leading the creative menu and serving the community through her hard work as a self-taught chef.
